Which Bulk Bag Top Should I Choose?

Choose open top for wide access, duffle top for wide access plus a tie closure, or spout top for a defined filling connection. Then check the bag’s load rating and bottom design separately.

Open top, duffle top or spout top?

  • Open top: a broad opening without an integrated top closure. View open top bags.

  • Duffle top: a fabric skirt opens wide, then gathers and ties closed. Leave enough room to close it after filling. View duffle top bags.

  • Spout top: a smaller fabric inlet connects to compatible filling equipment. Diameter, length and attachment all matter. View spout top bags.

What filling-spout sizes are available?

  • 90 × 90 × 120 cm Spout Top / Close Bottom: approximately 475 mm diameter.

  • 90 × 90 × 90 cm Spout Top / Close Bottom: approximately 450 mm diameter.

Confirm the exact specification when ordering. Diameter alone does not establish compatibility with an equipment outlet.

Can the filling spout be customised?

Yes. Spout diameter and length can be made to order. Send the required dimensions, if known, or a photo of the equipment outlet. We will confirm the connection, minimum order quantity and lead time.

Check available clearance, lifting arrangements and any liner, venting or dust-control requirements. An ordinary spout top bulk bag is not automatically a filter bag for an air stream.

Two details to check separately

  • Bottom design: a spout top can have a closed bottom or a discharge spout. The filling opening does not determine how the bag unloads.

  • Water protection: a tied duffle or spout does not make the complete bag waterproof. Fabric, seams, liners and closures need separate assessment.

Need a bag to fit your equipment?

Email us for a quote with the quantity required. If known, add outlet dimensions, weight or volume per bag and a connection photo.

We sell bags in packs: Quantity 1 means one selected pack, not one individual bag.
